Saucy’s Drawings
Saucy was always drawing. She filled sketchbooks with her drawings, often just musings with no thoughts of making finished works. After Saucy passed, as her niece, Hallie, was going through her work (a huge undertaking) she sent me a few of her sketchbooks, dated 2014-2016. I’ve copied a few of the drawings that remind me of her, of Wad, of her studio and the house and land in Cuba, NM. Most were black and white but I’ve included a few of her watercolors that seem whimsical. I’ve also included some drawings that she did at our summer cottage, many years ago.

Her house was in a wonderful landscape, backed up to a cliff.
I wonder who's in the foreground, ignoring that amazing landscape.
Above the cliff was a forest where I hiked with her.

There are many studies of people looking up. This one amused me.
She made many drawings based on the Hieronymus Bosch Garden of Earthly Delights.
